Every step between the form and the phone call, including the parts most services skip over.
The path, start to finish
You describe the problem
Name, contact details, ZIP code, the closest practice area and (optionally) a few sentences about what happened. "Other / Not sure" is a valid answer. Two separate, unchecked consent boxes: optional text updates, and the required consent to be contacted.
You get a confirmation
By email, and by text if you opted in. It repeats what you told us and what happens next, so there's a record you can refer to.
We route the request
We match the practice area and your location against participating attorneys who accept that type of matter in your area, and forward your request to up to four of them. We don't auction it, add it to a general marketing list or resell it afterwards.
An attorney or their office reaches out
Using the contact method you chose. Response times depend on that attorney's availability, typically during their business hours. They'll ask about your situation and explain how they work and what they charge.
You decide
Hire, keep looking, or stop. You're never obligated. If no participating attorney is available for your matter and location, we'll tell you by email and point you to your state bar association's lawyer referral service.

- ConsultationsMany participating attorneys offer a no-cost initial conversation, but each attorney sets their own policy. Ask up front; a good attorney will tell you plainly.
- FeesAny fee for legal services is set by, and agreed with, the attorney, not us. Injury and some disability matters are often handled on contingency; many other matters are hourly or flat-fee. Always get the fee arrangement in writing.
- Your informationYour request goes only to matched attorneys. Your text-messaging opt-in is never shared with anyone for marketing. Details in our Privacy Policy.
Who's on the other end
About participating attorneys
Participating attorneys and law firms are independent businesses that have enrolled in our network to receive inquiries in specific practice areas and locations. They pay us a marketing fee for that service. When they join, they confirm the practice areas they handle, the areas they serve, and that they hold an active license in good standing in each state where they accept matters.
We are not a bar-certified lawyer referral service, and we do not assess an attorney's skill, experience or results. Before you hire anyone, verify their license through your state bar, here's how, in five minutes.
